Shannon Andrus, EdD

Dr. Shannon Andrus is a writing trainer and coach with over 20 years of experience helping individuals improve their communication skills. She delivers high-energy and interactive virtual and in-person courses designed to help individuals strengthen composition and communication skills, improve professional interpersonal communication, and organize effectively for optimum performance. Shannon’s digital communication instruction focuses on communicating clearly and appropriately through email and using social media effectively in the professional world. Her time management and distraction courses help individuals maximize their productivity in a fast-paced business environment.

Shannon earned her B.A. in English Literature from Georgetown University, graduating with honors. She earned her master’s degree in liberal studies in the Great Books Program at St. John’s College and holds a doctorate in education from the University of Pennsylvania. While at Penn, she taught courses in qualitative research and also worked as a research and writing coach. She is the co-author of Teaching Girls: How Teachers and Parents Can Reach Their Brains and Hearts.
